When you look up the word affirmation in the dictionary, this is the definition that you will get. 1. The action or process of affirming something or being affirmed. 2. Emotional support or encouragement.

Do you have to say affirmations out loud

Yes and no. No, because anyway you are willing to get affirmations in your life you should do. Even if that means saying the affirmation in your head.

However, I also said yes because if you want the best benefit, then most definitely say out loud.

When you say the affirmation out loud then your subconscious mind picks up on the affirmation much better. There is a huge science explanation behind this but do you really want me to bore you with it.

Just know that when you say them out loud, your subconscious mind will pick them up better, which in turn makes you believe them.

There is no set amount that you should say a day. I would start off with just a couple a daily. No need to get overwhelmed with them.

There is hundreds and hundreds of affirmations out in this world. You can slowly pick more up as you go. I believe that you need to start slowly because starting off with a high amount will only overwhelm you.

When you become overwhelmed, you are more likely to stop more you even get started.

How long until the affirmations work

There is no set time that I can give you and say that is when the affirmations will work. I can tell you that for some people it will take a couple of weeks and for others it could take a couple of months.

I can tell you that you need to give it an honest try and stick with it. Don’t just say them for a couple of days and then give up because you are not getting results. This is not a quick fix.

I would say the best time to say your affirmations is in the morning. That way you have the right mindset for your day.

We all think negative thoughts and when we have a bad morning or bad day it is easier to stay in the negative thoughts.

So, start your day off with some positive affirmations, and that way if you are having a hard morning or hard day you can try to move your thoughts back to the positive affirmations.

You can also end your day right before bed by saying the affirmations. That way, you are ending your day with a positive mindset. Which will help you get a better night of sleep.

How many times a day do I repeat affirmations

Like I said above, you can do the affirmations at the start of the day and end of your day. There is really no set amount of times you need to say the affirmations. Will for except at least once a day you need to say them.

You may find yourself repeating the affirmations during your day.

If you are having a rough day, then pause and repeat some of your positive affirmations. This is why it is a good idea to carry your affirmations with you as in affirmation cards.
